SARDIM: a real-time hydrological monitoring platform of South American rivers

ABSTRACT Due to the frequent occurrence of extreme hydrological events in South American rivers, this work aims develop a monitoring platform open public, with wide and intuitive access, using resources an online geographic information system, order contribute better understanding behavior these natural disasters. SARDIM (South America River DIscharge Monitor) has been developed programming languages such as Python JavaScript. The data are derived from results continental scale simulation model (MGB - America) that uses, among other information, precipitation GPM (Global Precipitation Measurement) mission MSWEP (Multi-Source Weighted Ensemble Precipitation) product.
